How We're Different

The traditional agent
Until recently, access to home listings, pricing information and other valuable information available on Washington’s multiple listing service (called the Northwest Multiple Listing Service or NWMLS) was restricted to licensed real estate agents. So, in addition to the agent’s role as strategic advisor, contract preparer, negotiator, third party intermediary and closing liaison, the traditional agent also controlled the home listings that the client could preview and the listing price of a home sale.

Accordingly, Washington home sellers and buyers had very little active involvement in any aspect of their home sale or purchase. The estate agent dominated all aspects of the client’s transaction and clients were forced to blindly rely on the agent’s advice.

Today, the internet has bridged the information gap between agent and client. The NWMLS has authorized licensed brokers to download the latest home listings and pricing information on sold properties to the broker’s website.

Our team-oriented approach At Navigation Real Estate, we have leveraged such technological advances to employ a unique, team-oriented approach to your real estate transaction. Unlike the traditional real estate brokerage, we encourage you to become an active participant in your home sale or in the purchase of your new home.

  • Search the NWMLS for homes listed for sale by all real estate agents representing home sellers throughout the state of Washington

  • Search the sale price of comparable home sales in your area to gain insight on the pricing your home for sale

  • Learn about the home buying and selling process so you can understand all stages of your real estate transaction

Our attorney broker
Our managing broker, Jeffrey Foster, is also a licensed attorney. Jeff brings a unique, legal perspective to your real estate transaction and actively collaborates with your agent on offer and sale strategies, contract drafting and negotiation.
